The Constitution: A 200 Year Experiment 

These lessons are designed to provide teachers and lawyers with background information, teaching activities, and students handouts that address the significant issues of the constitutional convention and the major principals of our constitutional system.  The materials are organized into two sections, one section with lessons appropriate for grades 1-6, the second section appropriate for grades 7-12.  In some cases, the lessons can be used in both elementary and secondary classrooms.  Contents include: Need for Rules and Laws; Preamble: Americans on Purpose; The Summer of 1787; Federalism; Separation of Powers; The Presidency; The Legislative Branch; The Judiciary; Conflicts between rights and powers; Comparative law; and Rights reserved to the people.
